The Chaos and The Calm

Aparna Govil

Crowd with Masks

In this time of grave danger,

There lies hope amidst suffering.

The whole world in their houses and the streets bare,

What could make the condition any worse?

The world is changing every second,

The place I once knew, is not the same.

Locked in homes, bare are the streets,

Let the crisis end neat.

Here and now,

The world is perilous,

The people are perplexed.

There is chaos everywhere,

But nowhere to go!

We are at war,

With an invisible foe!

The fight here

Is slightly different.

Not all are required

At the forefront.

How calm and patient can one be,

Is what such times demand to see.

A crisis has hit our globe,

The cause being a tiny microbe!

Leaving us with the fact,

That power comes in all sizes,

But we need to remember our nature,

A sun that sets, again rises.

So, shall we, Because

Change is the only constant.

Human race will come out,

Of this catastrophe,

Forever, nothing is ever lasting,

And this too, shall pass!
